Biography

I am an Edo State native from Iyuku, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State. I was born in Afuze, Owan, Edo State, where I spent most of my early childhood. I later completed my primary school education in Benin City, Edo State, before moving to Auchi, where another important chapter of my life began, My secondary school journey.

My secondary school journey was one of the most beautiful chapters of my life. My APSS journey took me from JSS1 all the way to SS2, and I’m incredibly grateful for every moment of it.

My years in secondary school were truly some of the most fun and memorable years of my life. From the laughter and friendships to the little adventures, inside jokes, school events, and everyday moments, I made memories that I will always cherish. Most importantly, I’m so grateful for the friends who became family and made the journey even more special.

Interestingly, my journey took an unexpected turn when I left school in SS2, second term, to sit for WAEC. It was my parents’ idea for me to give it a try, mainly so I could gain the experience of writing the examination. The original plan was for me to return afterwards and complete SS3.

Thankfully, my result came out really well, and what was initially meant to be just an experience turned out to be a success. So, there was no need for me to return to complete SS3. 😂

Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for the people I met, the lessons I learned, the friendships I made, and all the beautiful memories along the way.

APSS will always be a special part of my story because it is where I met so many of the amazing people reading this today. ❤️ Although my journey ended differently from what I originally planned, I wouldn’t change the memories for anything.

After secondary school, another beautiful chapter began. In 2015, I gained admission into Ambrose Alli University to study Theatre and Media Arts. Interestingly, my original plan was to study Law, but life had a different plan for me, and today, I’m genuinely grateful that I ended up studying what I did.

University became another unforgettable experience, not only because of what I learned academically, but also because of the person I became and the people I met along the way. It was during my university years that I met my husband, which makes that chapter of my life even more special.

Studying Theatre and Media Arts brought out a version of me I never knew existed. It gave me confidence, creativity, courage, and a deeper understanding of myself. I graduated in 2019, and I’m grateful I chose the path I did, even though it wasn’t the path I originally imagined for myself.

I was supposed to go for NYSC in 2020, but then COVID happened and, like many things at the time, my plans were put on hold. I eventually went for service in 2021, completed it in 2022, and moved to Abuja, where I have lived ever since.

Life continued to unfold in ways I could never have completely planned. I got married in 2024, and in 2025, we welcomed our beautiful baby, giving me another role and another chapter to be grateful for. ❤️

Today, I work as a Social Media Manager, Content Strategist and Presenter, and I’m still discovering new parts of myself every day. When I look back at where I started, I can see that every chapter—the expected ones and the unexpected ones, played a part in shaping who I am today.

From APSS, to university, my career and everything in between, my story has been filled with unexpected turns, beautiful people, lessons, growth and grace.

And the beautiful thing is, I know my story is still being written. There is so much more ahead, and I am waiting patiently to see what the next chapter holds. ❤️

Favourite Memory

One of my favourite school memories was during my JSS1 Inter-House Sports, when I ran the baton race for Red House. I had just come fresh from primary school, so everything still felt new and exciting. I remember how much fun it was being part of the whole experience the excitement, cheering, the energy from everyone, and of course, being able to represent. Looking back now, it’s such a simple memory, but it has stayed with me because of how genuinely happy and carefree I felt that day. Fresh out of primary school and already running. What a way to start my APSS journey! 😂❤️
